After starting the out putridly at 2–9, the Bombers have upped their record to 15–14 overall and 7–3 in the Empire 8 with a 5–3 mark since April 15.
It all started with a dominating 13–3 win at SUNY-New Paltz. Having solid days for the Blue and Gold that day were junior third baseman David Ahonen and freshman designated hitter Sean Weber, who both hit home runs. Weber also drove in four RBIs.

right-handed pitcher has an ERA of just 1.48, which is the second best
in the Empire 8.
In a season where Bomber pitching has been inconsistent, Healy has been a major bright spot for the South Hill squad. The sophomore has the lowest ERA and the most strikeouts per inning on the team at 1.41.

Apr 14, 2010 | Junior Andrew Wall proved this afternoon why he’s come a long way since his first two seasons as a member of the baseball team.

In his first two seasons, Wall only pitched seven varsity innings, allowing 14 hits, five earned runs and sporting a 6.43 ERA. But today in a 10–2 win against Cazenovia University at Freeman Field, he went a strong seven innings, allowing only two earned runs and three walks, while striking out eight and throwing 111 pitches.

While Fishback was sensational, the Blue and Gold’s offense was stellar as well. Ithaca took a 1–0 lead in the second and broke it open in the fifth with three more runs. After the Red Dragons responded with two runs in the bottom half of the inning to cut the lead to 4–2, the Bombers slashed the margin open again in the sixth with a four-run frame to put the score at 8–2.

Mike Armstrong. The baseball team’s starting catcher has played for
three different schools throughout his collegiate career but says
coming to Ithaca was the best decision he has made.
