Senior Kurt Bednarcyk started the late rally for the Bombers with a single down 9–7 in the eighth inning. He came then around to score on a double from senior Dylan Perez. Later in the inning, the South Hill squad loaded the bases with a hit batter and a walk, which allowed Perez to score from third on a wildpitch, tying the game at nine. Another walk reloaded the bases for sophomore pinch hitter Trevor Wolf who was hit by a pitch to bring in the go-ahead run.
The Blue and Gold have now won 11 of their last 12 games. Freshman Ian Rebhan picked up the win in his collegiate debut. He pitched four innings in relief without allowing an earned run.
The Bombers continue their season at 4 p.m. Friday at SUNY-Oswego.
