Junior Tom Fishback only allowed three hits and one earned run in eight innings of work as he took the loss. The complete game marked his fifth of the season.
The Blue and Gold took an early lead scoring two runs on a single from sophomore David Ahonen, but Brockport fought back to score two unearned runs in the fourth to tie the game.
Ahonen came through again for the South Hill squad as he led off the top of the sixth with a single. Junior T.J. Abone moved the Bomber third baseman to second with a sacrifice bunt and sophomore Matt Streich drove the run in with a double to left field.
The Bombers led 3–2 through 6 1/2, but allowed one run in both the seventh and eighth innings.
The Blue and Gold continue their season at 4 p.m. Monday against SUNY-Oneonta in Oneonta, N.Y.
