Freshman William Jacobson was reported missing last night. He was last seen Sunday around 3:30 a.m., walking from a residence on Grandview Avenue back toward the Ithaca College campus and possibly his room in Terrace 11, Public Safety officials said.

Investigator Tom Dunn said the Office of Public Safety and the Ithaca Police Department are conducting the investigation jointly, but there are no leads. Dunn also said there is a multi-agency task force in place, including the Sheriff’s Department, State Police, Ithaca Fire Department and possibly the Ithaca Forest Rangers, searching for Jacobson. Dunn said no foul play is suspected.

Freshman Reece Lazarus said he was with Jacobson the night he was last seen. Lazarus said his friends became concerned after they realized Jacobson never returned to his room and his phone was off.

“We realized his phone had been dead, and [Jacobson is] a fairly consistent user of his phone,” Lazarus said. “Without him texting for a couple days, we figured something was wrong.”

According to an Intercom Alert, Jacobson was last seen wearing a white, long-sleeved dress shirt, navy blue vest, black dress pants and black dress shoes
