Student's autopsy results suggest accidental drowning
| Senior Writer
The results of a forensic autopsy performed this morning on Ithaca College freshman William Jacobson show he drowned accidentally, according to an Ithaca Police Department press release.
Results from a complete toxicology screening, which would reveal if alcohol or drugs played a part in Jacobson’s death, are not expected for several weeks.
State police divers recovered Jacobson’s body yesterday in about 8 feet of water in the Farm Road Pond. The 19-year old writing major had been missing since about 3:30 a.m. Sunday after leaving a party at 105 Grandview Ave.
