Field hockey beats William Smith

The field hockey
team lost to William Smith College 6–2 today. Senior forward Ally Girasole
scored her second career goal and first of the season for the Bombers.
Girasole’s goal came off of a penalty corner in the 12th minute, tying the game 1–1. Freshman forward Abbey Lind scored her second goal of season in the second half during the 63rd minute off of a deflected shot by freshman Tracy Rivas. It was Rivas’s second assist of the year.
Senior goalkeeper Courtney Dowell made a career-high 23 saves for the Bombers.
The Bombers have their first Empire 8 game of the season this weekend. They play at noon Saturday at Washington and Jefferson College.
