The Bombers are hoping their strong showing today against SUNY-Cortland will help them get into the playoffs. Home at Butterfield Stadium against the Red Dragons, the Blue and Gold looked strong, building a 26-10 first half lead.

Ithaca rolled early, scoring three times on consecutive possessions. Junior quarterback Dan Juvan was 8 for 10 for 153 yards and one touchdown. However, Ithaca had trouble converting extra points early; freshamn kicker Dillion Dwyer missed his first two PATs.

Senior running back Jamie Donovan has rushed for 66 yards today, netting three touchdowns.

Cortland's only touchdown came after a 37-yard throw from junior quarterback Ray Miles. Miles hit senior running back Mike Sveda in perfect stride to make it to the 1 yard line. Sveda punched in the ball on the next play for a rushing touchdown.

Around the Empire 8, Hartwick kicks off at 1:30 and Alfred is down 7-0 in the middle of the 1st quarter against St. John Fisher.
