The golf team finished sixth among nine teams at the Martin Wallace Invitational hosted by SUNY-Cortland today at Cortland Country Club.
Freshman Jackie Young shot a school-record round of 85 in Sunday’s second round and led the team with a combined total score of 176 for 21st best in individual scores out of a field of 55 players. Freshman Brooke Llobell played solid, shooting an 87 in the first round followed by a 92 in her second round for a total score of 179. Out of the five teams from the Empire 8, Ithaca finished second, one shot behind William Smith with a two-day team total score of 750.
The Bombers fall season will conclude next weekend when they compete in the Nazareth Fall Invitational in Rochester, N.Y.
