The Bombers also set their highest overall score of the season by almost three points with a score of 187.850. Additionally, the team scored a season high 46.725 on the balance beam.
Senior Rachel Taylor had a great showing on her signature events, coming in second on vault with a 9.525 and fifth on beam with a 9.125. Sophomore all-around stars Jessica Bolduc and Kay Gordon had consistent performances once again with Bolduc placing third on vault and bars and first on floor, while Gordon placed fifth on beam.
Notable performances came from sophomore Kimberly Callahan with a first-place score on the balance beam with a phenomenal 9.700, the highest score awarded of the day. Junior Kailee Spusta received glorious applause after her animated floor routine scored a 9.625, putting her in second place. Senior Brianne Sullivan also dazzled on the beam with a 9.625 and floor with a 9.55.
The win came at a sentimental time for the seniors Sullivan, Taylor, Emily Grabor and Rachel Lamensdorf, as it was their last meet in Ben Light Gymnasium.
The Blue and Gold head to SUNY-Brockport next to compete in the Eastern College Athletic Conference Championships to determine whether they make the National College Gymnastics Association Championships.
