Nazareth defeats Stevens to advance to Empire 8 Championship game

The third-seeded Golden Flyers defeated the No. 2 Ducks 81-70 tonight in the Ben Light Gymnasium. Sophomore guard Corey McAdam finished with 17 points and an Empire 8 tournament-record 10 assists.
Senior guard Joe Canori, the conference's second leading scorer, led Nazareth with 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting. Corey's brother, junior Ryan McAdam, finished with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Senior point guard Waleed Farid led Stevens with 23 points and six assists. Nazareth will play the winner of the Ithaca College-St. John Fisher College game at 3 p.m. tomorrow for the conference's automatic NCAA bid.
The Bombers lead the Cardinals 4-2 just over two minutes into their game.
