Squad clinches home court with win over Nazareth

Senior guard Sean Burton led the men’s basketball team to a 113–86 victory over Nazareth College on Friday with a season high 32 points. Burton also added 13 assists and four steals against the Golden Flyers.
The win was the Bombers’ 23rd of the season, surpassing the previous school record. It also clinched the top seed in the Empire 8 for the Blue and Gold, bringing the conference tournament to Ithaca for the second year in a row.
Freshman guard Jordan Marcus connected on seven of eleven three pointers, tying his career high of 25 points. Senior forward Sean Leahy recorded a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Senior guard Brendan Rogers and sophomore guard Chris Cruz also added double digit point totals with 15 and 10 respectively.
The South Hill squad was dominant all over the court, shooting higher than 53 percent from the floor and beating the Golden Flyers 46–33 on the boards.
