Both teams weathered the elements under the lights at the De Baun Athletic Complex in a sloppy game that included a 70-minute rain delay in the first half.
The Ducks controlled the ball from start to finish scoring goals in the seventh, 64th, and 83rd minutes. The Bombers only managed five shots in the game.
The Bombers’ offensive inconsistencies continued, tallying their sixth shutout on the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Evan Kirshner made five saves, but allowed three goals for the second time in three starts.
With one conference game left on their schedule, the Bombers will look to secure the fourth and final spot in the Empire 8 Championship tournament.
The Blue and Gold currently stand in fifth place in the conference and square off against fourth place Elmira College on Saturday at Carp Wood Field in the decisive match of the Bombers’ 2009 campaign.
The Bombers close out their non-conference schedule at 3 p.m. Wednesday at home against SUNY-Brockport.
