Bombers go 1-2 at Hamilton quad meet

The men’s swimming and diving team defeated Hartwick College 126–117 but fell to Hamilton College 136–107 and SUNY-Geneseo 155–88 at a quad meet Nov. 22 in Clinton, N.Y. The Bombers’ record now stands at 5–3 on the season.
Sophomore freestyler Joe Gage led the South Hill squad with wins in the 200-yard freestyle and the 500-yard freestyle.
Gage also swam in the 400-yard freestyle relay with freshman Antoine Connors, senior Shane Hamman and sophomore Steve Croucher, clinching another first place finish for the Bombers. Connors also placed first in the 50-yard freestyle.
Sophomore diver Mike Glicini placed second in the 3-meter diving competition, and freshman diver Derek Rand placed second in the 1-meter diving competition.
The Bombers’ next meet begins at 6 p.m. Friday at the Don Richards Invitational at Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y.
