Junior Taylor Borda set the tone with a 6–1, 6–0 win, while sophomore Josh Rifkin remained undefeated in singles competition so far this season with a 6–0, 6–0 victory.
Sophomores Jimmy Newton and Dan Adelman both matched Borda’s score, each winning 6–1, 6–0. Junior Danny Wolk had a strong showing with a 6–2, 6–4 win, while freshman Zach Stern wrapped up singles competition, winning 6–2, 6–0.
The No. 12 regionally ranked tandem of Borda and Rifkin, added another win to their season with an 8–1 win in doubles competition. Newton and freshman Mike Muraco matched Borda and Rifkin, with an 8–1 victory, while senior co-captain Andew Dunnick and Wolk shut out their opponents winning 8–0 in third doubles.
This win brings the Bombers’ overall record to 11–3 on the season and 5–0 in conference play. The team’s next match is at 4 p.m. tomorrow against Hobart College at the Ithaca College Tennis Courts.
