Junior Taylor Borda won in straight sets 6–3, 6–4, bringing his season record to 11–3, while sophomore Josh Rifkin remained undefeated at 15–0, winning in three sets 6–7 [3–7], 6–2, 6–1. Freshman Jimmy Newton worked hard through three sets, including two tiebreaks, before falling 7–6 [7–4], 0–6, 7–6 [7–3] in third singles.
Junior Danny Wolk also remained undefeated in conference play, with a 1–6, 6–4, 7–5 win, while freshman Dan Levine clinched the final point, and match, for the team winning 7–6 [7–4], 7–5 in sixth singles. Freshman Mike Muraco lost in three sets, 6–7 [4–7], 6–2, 6–3 competing in fifth singles.
The Bombers went 2–1 in doubles competition. Borda and Rifkin improved to 13–2 overall, remaining undefeated at 6–0 in conference play. They had an 8–1 win to start the match. Newton and Wolk followed that performance with an 8–2 victory, while sophomore Dan Adelman and senior co-captain Andrew Dunnick lost in third doubles 8–6.
The Bombers next scheduled match is at 4 p.m. Tuesday against Hartwick College in Oneonta, N.Y.
