IPD breaks up parties on Prospect Street
| News Editor
The Ithaca Police Department started breaking up several parties hosted along Prospect and Hudson Streets today around 2 p.m.
Sergeant Doug Wright said police arrived on Prospect St. around noon and began arresting people for noise violations, open container and underage drinking violations—all of which will run the accused $100 bail and an appearance ticket for the Town of Ithaca Court. Wright said approximately 10 to 15 people had been arrested by 3 p.m., but full accounts of all arrests made would not be available until Monday.
Wright said parties on Prospect St. had calmed down by about 4 p.m., but they would continue patrolling the area for the rest of the night.
