Staff Writer |

The Office of Public Safety is investigating a burglary that occurred between 7 p.m. and midnight Friday in Circle Apartment 30 during which an unknown person stole a laptop computer. There were no signs of forced entry.

A Public Safety alert was sent out this afternoon about the incident. Sergeant Tom Dunn said no further developments have been made.

Dunn said this is the third campus burglary this semester. Two others occurred in East Tower earlier this year. Public Safety wants to remind students to always lock their rooms or apartments to prevent incidents like this, and to report any suspicious activity they witness to Public Safety immediately.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call Public Safety at 607-274-3333 or to leave an anonymous voice mail message at 607-274-1060.
