&lt;p&gt;With the news of a downturn in countywide sales tax receipts in
January 2010, the ongoing economic recession continues to take its toll
on Tompkins County.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Late last month, Tompkins County Finance
Director David Squires announced before the Tompkins County
Legislature’s Budget and Capital Committee that sales tax receipts were
down more than 3.39 percent countywide in comparison to January 2009.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

in 1995 and also authored the book “Living to 100.” Additionally, Dr.
Perls designed the “Living to 100 Life Expectancy Calculator” which
enables people to enter some basic information about their family,
lifestyles, and personal history and then approximates how old one will
live to be. &lt;br /&gt;

The club will act as “headquarters” for all food-related groups on
campus. Members of any food-related organization on campus — such as IC
Nutrition Club, Organic Gardening Club, IC Vegetarian Club, and all
others — are coming together under one umbrella to promote the
“philosophy” of the importance of food in our lives in a multifaceted
perspective.</description>
