With the split, the Bombers brought their record to 19–9. Senior Alyssa Brook got the start in the opener. She threw a complete game and allowed only three hits and one earned run while striking out seven.
Juniors Kait Dolan and Brittany Lillie, freshman Molly O’Donnell and senior Alyssa Guzman each picked up three hits in the game. Dolan drove in three runs and scored a pair of her own.
In game two, the Bombers’ dominant bats were not as lively. Despite allowing just five hits, the Blue and Gold let Rochester score after a passed ball and a wild pitch.
Freshman Jen Biondi got into scoring position as the potential tying run in the top of the seventh, but Rochester retired the last two batters to end the game.
The South Hill squad continues on the road today with a doubleheader against King’s College.
