Making a comeback
Senior Kurt Bednarcyk has eye black striped across each cheek as he takes the diamond. It is an intimidating look. But he only stands at 5 feet 7 inches in a game of athletes looming closer to 6 feet.
Baseball
Whether it is the New York Yankees or the Ithaca College baseball team, it is a constant struggle to find consistency out of the bullpen in baseball. While the Blue and Gold’s bullpen is mainly made up of freshmen and sophomores, for the most part, they have been able to get the job done. However, Head Coach George Valesente said he has not yet discovered who his consistent middle relievers are.

When it comes to softball in May, Kostrinsky Field is no stranger to the intensity and emotions of the playoffs. For the fourth straight season, the walls atop Ithaca’s South Hill will hold the Empire 8 Championship Tournament.

Men’s Track & Field
Sophomore Anthony Veroline bolts down the track at Butterfield Stadium in the 400-meter dash in pursuit of the finish line. From the track, views of Ithaca’s green hills and the deep blue of Cayuga Lake, reminiscent of his summers spent in Alaska, surround him. As the wind whips through his shaggy brown hair, there is no place the sophomore middle distance runner would rather be competing than in the great outdoors. Read »
Sports
Marty Blake, the “Godfather of the NBA Draft,” is widely recognized for being responsible for changing the landscape of professional basketball. He received the 2005 Bunn Lifetime Achievement Award from the Basketball Hall of Fame and is credited with discovering such players as Dennis Rodman, Scottie Pippen, Tim Hardaway, Ben Wallace, Devean George and Karl Malone. Men’s Tennis
In the pregame huddle, the men’s tennis team stands bunched together, arms propped up on each other’s shoulders, listening to the last pre-match words from Head Coach Bill Austin. In unison the team erupts chanting, “One, two, three, Bombers,” as six of the players break from the pack and take their positions on the court, while the others make their way to the sideline.
