Ithaca College basketball fans witnessed a bit of history in the victory as sophomore guard Lindsay Brown set a school record with seven three-point buckets en route to finishing with a career-high 23 points.
Led by Brown, the Blue and Gold fought back from a seven-point deficit early in the second half. The Bombers eventually claimed the lead, largely because of a 17–6 run that gave them the lead for good.
Sophomore guard Katherine Bixby continued her solid play with a 17-point, seven-assist, seven-rebound effort in the victory. Bixby hit three buckets from beyond the arc, moving her to 10th all-time on the Ithaca College list. The team’s 11 three-point field goal performance was good enough to match the third-highest single game total in Bombers history.
Senior guard Brynn Fessette added 11 points and junior guard Megan Rumschik, who made her first start of the season, led Ithaca on the defense with a career-best five steals.
The next game for the Blue and Gold will take place at 6 p.m. next Tuesday against SUNY-Oneonta in the Ben Light Gymnasium.
