After defeating SUNY-Potsdam in 69–64 in the first round of the ECAC Upstate New York Championship Tournament, Ithaca once again had the Cardinals in their sights. Before the ECAC matchup, Fisher had the edge in the season series. The Cardinals defeated Ithaca twice during the regular season by double-digit margins, but the Blue and Gold beat the Cardinals in the Empire 8 tournament 73–59.
Fisher got the last laugh though, defeating the Bombers once again by double digits 60–44.
It marked seniors Megan Rumschik and Tracy Bradley’s last game as Bombers. The future looks bright though, as Ithaca is returning starters Katherine Bixby, Lindsay Brown and Elissa Klie. Sophomore Jordan Confessore, who made many significant contributions off the bench over the course of the season, will look to fill the void left by the seniors.
