| Staff Writer

The women’s crew finally experienced the type of success they’ve been waiting for this season. Against the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday, the Bombers swept all six races.

After the meet’s start was delayed due to ice in the water, the women’s crew grabbed their first win in the varsity 8 with a time of 7:09.3. In the second varsity 8, the Bombers beat Rochester convincingly by about 14 seconds. In the third varsity 8, Ithaca tacked on its third win.

In addition, the Bombers won in the novice 8 with a time of 7:42.0 and in the second novice 8 with a time of 8:42.2.

The next meet for the women’s crew will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cayuga Lake against Hamilton College, Skidmore College and SUNY-Oswego.
