Bombers fall to No. 5 Hamilton, 20-8

The women’s lacrosse team lost 20–8 to fifth-ranked Hamilton College today. The loss drops Ithaca to 5–6 overall with just three games remaining in the regular season.

Sophomore Kylie McClure led the Bombers with three goals. Freshman reserve midfielder Catherine Hurley scored twice off the bench. Senior Kim Medla and sophomore Kassie Garfield each netted one goal.

Senior Meagan Howell finished with a goal and two assists, while junior Becky Bedard added two assists. Senior goalie Emily Brooks made 10 saves, while surrendering all 20 goals in the loss.

Four of Hamilton’s starters tallied three or more goals, showing the Continentals’ depth. With the win, Hamilton improved to 11–1 overall on the season.

The next game for the women’s lacrosse team will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday in Oneonta, N.Y., against Hartwick College.
