Squad concludes regular season with 13-12 loss

The No. 23 women’s lacrosse team wrapped up its regular season with a 13–12 loss to the University of Rochester today. The Bombers, who won the Empire 8 last weekend, finish the season with a 9–7 overall record.

Against Rochester, freshman Catherine Hurley scored a game-high three goals. Sophomore Lauren Fitzgerald and senior Kim Medla, who was named the Division III National Player of the Week on Monday, each scored twice for Ithaca.

Seniors Meagan Howell and Sarah Knauf, sophomores Sarah Cox, Kassie Garfield and Kylie McClure each scored one goal in the loss. Junior Becky Bedard tallied four assists, increasing her own school record season total to 44.

Senior Emily Brooks made seven saves in goal, while allowing all 13 for Rochester.

The Blue and Gold will find out their opponent in the NCAA tournament on Sunday.
