The team won 8–1 on the road against the divisional opponent, bringing them to 5–0 overall this season with a 4–0 conference record. The team has won 37 straight games against Empire 8 teams. Ithaca won all three doubles matches and five of the six singles matches.
Freshman Christina Nunez and junior Melissa Nunez both won in each of their singles and doubles matches. Christina and Melissa teamed up at first doubles and won 8–2, and combined, only lost five games.
Seniors Sarah Hollis and Devra Reiman won at second doubles. The pair is undefeated with a 7–0 record on the season, including winning a doubles tournament at William Smith College. At third singles, Reiman won 7–5, 6–2, and Hollis won at fourth singles 6–1, 6–1.
Junior Melanie Cohen lost in a third set tiebreaker at second singles. After winning 7–5 in the first set, she lost 5–7 in the second, causing a tiebreaker. She then lost a tough tiebreaker 10–8.
The Bombers next game is tomorrow at Alfred University.
