Obama Coins Just a Sticker Over Kennedy and Washington
Irony at its best.
For those of you who don’t always have the bandwidth the watch the entire video, the gist is this: The Obama commemorative coins so pompously paraded by Montel Williams are actually U.S. Mint coins with paper sticker veneers printed with Obama’s Presidential head shot.
Moral of the story: Don’t buy cheap crap (or expensive crap, like these coins) with such an obvious exploitative tinge. Why don’t you stick to buying commemorations of U.S. presidents who’ve actually DONE something, like… I don’t know, won the Civil War, or… led the American Revolution, or… something.

Well some scams can look legit in advertising; the fact that they bought cheap memorabilia is not as important as figuring out how these people can get their money back.
And Obama made history, one of 4 black senators ever and the only African American President to date. I rank that higher than other figures accomplishments, who are on American coins like William McKinley and Grover Cleveland who have landed their faces on the 500 and 1000 dollar notes. Would you put Woodrow Wilson’s face on currency and not Obama’s? Well he’s already got the 100,000 dollar note in his name, why cant people be assured in their investment in an Obama coin when Presidents with lesser accomplishments have their faces on coins that were actually spendable at one point in time. I believe that warrants him getting his face plastered on a coin. The real shame is not how naive these people were, but how despicable the system is that won’t allow them relief for an obviously misleading economic venture.
