Bombers wrap up regular season

The men’s crew concluded its regular season schedule today in Pittsfield, Mass., against four other teams.

The varsity eight finished in 6:14.0, good for third out of five teams in the Bombers’ first race of the meet, which Williams College finished first in.

The novice eight finished third out of three teams in 6:43.2, with Williams also winning the race.

Finally, the second varsity eight finished in 6:29.7, fourth out of four teams in Ithaca’s last race of the meet, won by Bates College and also featuring Marist College and the United States Coast Guard Academy.

The Bombers compete next at the New York State Championships in Whitney Point, N.Y., on May 1 and 2.

Bombers take two of four against Rochester and RIT

One of the main goals of the men’s crew this season was to avoid getting off to the same slow start they did last year. If Saturday’s varsity 8 and novice 8 wins against the University of Rochester and the Rochester Institute of Technology is any indication, that shouldn’t be a problem.
