For most Ithaca College students, the end of April is the signal to hit the books and prepare for exams.

When the soccer season ends, most players on the Ithaca College soccer team stay off the field until the sport resumes in the fall. But for two of the freshman sprinters on the men’s track and field team, a full season of playing for the men’s soccer team has helped them perform on the track.

Senior Andrew Brown has grown accustomed to being the only pole vault member for the men’s track and field team.

With depth and talent, the relay squad is one of the strongest pieces to this year’s dexterous men’s track and field team.
The men’s track team was on the road this weekend at Moravian College’s Coach P Open.
The Bombers had 12 top-five finishes in the meet and also added another five Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship qualifying finishes.
After last week’s Ithaca Invitational, the men’s track team went on the road to compete at Army’s Dick Shea Invitational.
Ithaca won three events at the meet: the 400-meter relay, the long jump and the 400-meter run.
