Team keeps winning streak afloat during winter break

The women’s swimming and diving team got just what it needed to maintain its undefeated record in conference and regular season competition during the winter break.

Propelling to victory

Along with back-to-back conference and state championships, the women’s swimming and diving team boasts a feat that can’t be seen in their trophy case.

Though there are three fewer divers on the women’s swimming and diving team this season, the seven divers on this year’s squad still have their anchor — senior captain Jodi Costello.

Sophomore surfaces as new leader for squad

Opponents usually have their hands full trying to overtake sophomore Carly Jones when she is ahead, but for her teammates, following her lead is precisely where they want to be.

The women’s swimming and diving team is just a few strokes away from achieving its first perfect record in the regular season since the 2002-03 season.

Together as one

While sports teams typically name a single captain, two co-captains and even three or four captains, the women’s swimming and diving team is taking it one stroke further.

Women’s swimming finishes in top 15 at nationals

The women’s swimming and diving team ended its near perfect season at the national championships March 20 in Minneapolis, Minn., where the team placed 14th out of 71 teams and smashed five women’s records.
