Editor’s Note

Welcome to the redesign of The Ithacan’s website. We decided the time was right to upgrade our look with more user-friendly navigation, bigger and better visuals, and additional opportunities to engage our visitors with trending and related content throughout the site. Every step of the way, our primary focus was on how to best present our community’s most important stories with efficiency and impact. In addition to highlighting prominent news, feature and sports stories, we’ve included a new section on our home page called “Editors’ Picks” for the stories we find interesting but that you might have overlooked. You’ll find that the site serves mobile devices better and that its overall performance has improved, providing a streamlined reader experience.
