Ithaca College Board of Trustees elects new members

The Ithaca College Board of Trustees elected three new campuscommunity trustees and two new term trustees at its spring meeting May 20–21.

Junior Elijah Greene will serve two years as the student trustee, following senior Ciara Lucas.

Julie Dorsey, associate professor of occupational therapy, will serve three years as the faculty trustee, succeeding Michael Buck, clinical associate professor in the Department of Physical Therapy.

Sybil Conrad, assistant director of Campus Center and Event Services, will serve three years as the staff trustee, following Christy Agnese, school operations and external relations officer in the School of Music.

Mary Opperman, vice president for human resources at Cornell University, and Peter Taffae ’82, managing director at ExecutivePerils Inc., will each serve for four years as trustees.

The board’s governance committee interviewed three candidates for each open position, according to the news release from the college. The Student Government Association, Faculty Council and Staff Council made candidate nominations for the student, faculty and staff trustee positions, respectively.
