Men’s soccer takes third straight loss of season to Hamilton

The men’s soccer team took its third straight loss of the season to Hamilton College on Oct. 6 at Carp Wood Field, as the Continentals defeated the Bombers 2–0. With the loss, the Blue and Gold now sit at 2–7–1 overall on the season.

The contest remained scoreless after the first half, as Hamilton outshot the South Hill squad 14–4 going into halftime.

The first goal of the evening came in minute 51:11 when Myles Pindus found the back of the net, off an assist from Eli Morris, which gave Hamilton a 1–0 lead over the Bombers.

The Continentals would score just a few minutes later during the 57th minute of play with a goal by Alex Cadet, assisted by Erich Marcks, to give Hamilton a 2–0 advantage.

The Bomber offense only managed to collect 13 shots on the day, compared to Hamilton’s 26. Freshmen Zachary Lichtman and Matt Bukowski lead the offensive effort with three shots apiece, while junior Zach Jacobsen made eight saves on the day.

The Bombers return to action when they take on Empire 8 opponent Houghton College on Oct. 10 in Houghton, New York.
