Editorial: The FDA’s deferrals are backward and outdated

Though the policy is more lenient than the FDA’s previous indefinite ban on men who have sex with men donating blood, it is still a backward policy.
A group of Ithaca College students and alumni are covering themselves in fake blood for a photo campaign called My Blood is Good, protesting what they say are discriminatory blood donation guidelines by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

Seniors promote volunteering to give back to community

Students from the Give Back Committee within the Senior Class Cabinet have established a goal for the Class of 2014 to complete 2,014 hours of community service by the end of the academic year as a way to give back to Ithaca College and the Ithaca community.
