There are power outages in the downtown and East Hill areas of the City of Ithaca, according to a press release issued earlier tonight by the Ithaca Police Department.
The power outage is a result of a severe thunderstorm that produced heavy rain and hail, the release said.
IPD has no estimate for when power will return and reminds motorists to be cautious, as several traffic signals are out downtown, according to the release.
