OFF CAMPUS INCIDENT
LOCATION: All Other
SUMMARY: Caller reported two-car property damage. MVA occurred at 10 p.m. March 23. Police report filed with agency of jurisdiction. Report taken. Master Patrol Officer Donald Lyke.
SAFETY HAZARD/ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARD
LOCATION: Whalen Center for Music
SUMMARY: Caller reported odor of natural gas coming from new piece of equipment. No natural gas or hazard found. Safety hazard was unfounded. Environmental Safety Specialist Mark Ross.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS

LOCATION: Terraces

SUMMARY: Caller reported a person who had been restricted from campus was in a building. Person was arrested for criminal trespass and unlawful possession of marijuana, and arraigned in Town of Ithaca Court. Another person was judicially referred for unlawful possession of marijuana. CCV/DANGER TO SELF

LOCATION: Office of Public Safety

SUMMARY: Officer reported person wanted to harm themself. The person was taken into custody under the mental hygiene law and transported to CMC by ambulance. Sergeant Steven Yaple.

SUMMARY: Fire alarm activation caused accidentally by dirty detector. Detector cleaned and system reset. Fire and Building Safety Coordinator Ronald Clark.

UNLAWFUL POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA

LOCATION: Emerson Hall

SUMMARY: Six people judicially referred for unlawful possession of marijuana and three people judicially referred for responsibility of guests. Patrol Officer Mark Denicola.

SUMMARY: Officer reported vehicle struck curb and damaged tire while attempting to avoid broken glass in roadway. Report taken. Sergeant Terry O’Pray.

SUMMARY: Officer reported records indicating that the identity theft reported on March 9 had already been documented. One case of identity theft was unfounded. Sergeants Ronald Hart and Tom Dunn.

V&T VIOLATION

LOCATION: Alumni Circle

SUMMARY: Caller reported two-car property damage MVA. One operator was issued a uniform traffic ticket for Town of Ithaca Court for failure to yield to right of way. Sergeant Bill Kerry.

SUMMARY: Officer reported one person had threatened another with a knife on March 23. Investigation pending. Master Patrol Officer Erik Merlin.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT

LOCATION: Circle Apartments Parking Lot

SUMMARY: Officer reported a person had jumped onto the hood of a vehicle. Owner reported no damage. Person judicially referred for disorderly conduct and irresponsible use of alcohol. Patrol Brad Bates.

SUMMARY: One person was issued an appearance ticket for the Town of Ithaca Court for underage possession of alcohol. Person also judicially referred for unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to comply. Master Patrol Officer Donald Lyke.

HARASSMENT

LOCATION: Clarke Hall

SUMMARY: Caller reported a verbal argument. Upon officers’ arrival, people had dispersed from the area in question. An individual later reported to an officer that a physical altercation had occurred. Investigation pending. Master Patrol Officer Bruce Holmstock.
