Two administrators to leave Ithaca College to assume provost positions.

January 24, 2014

This morning, Ithaca College announced that Mary Ellen Zuckerman, dean of the School of Business, and David Garcia, associate provost of business technology, will be leaving the college at the end of the semester for provost positions at other institutions.

Zuckerman has been named provost and vice president of academic affairs at the State University of New York College at Brockport, and Garcia has been named provost and chief academic officer at Carthage College.

Garcia will be joining Greg Woodward, former dean of the James J. Whalen School of Music, who was named president of Carthage College in 2012.

Zuckerman and Garcia will both begin their new positions July 1.

The college worked with Rankin Climate, a company that assesses institutional climate and specifically works with the college’s working committee, to compile the results of the survey.  The survey was made up of 117 questions, 16 of which were open-ended. Questions from the 2016 Campus Climate Survey were used as a basis and reviewed again by the college.
