Ithaca College is gorgeous — we have incredible hiking spots, and the campus itself is located on South Hill, New York.
The college did not have any issue starting an open flow of communication with its constituents when asking for money prior to Giving Day.
The onus falls on us to take accountability and stop hosting superspreader functions, especially as the weather improves.
By restricting The Ithacan’s reporting, the administration is not upholding its promise of being fully transparent and open to the public.
There is no denying that the college needs to make painful department and program cuts and layoffs, but the haste of the process is infuriating.
Perhaps the most alarming aspect of the “Shape of the College” is that those who will be losing their jobs are only being treated as numbers.
