The Ithaca College women’s tennis team has been benefitting from the addition of five new first-year students for the 2023–24 season. One member in particular, first-year student Alys Pop, has made a big splash alongside a former first-year sensation, junior Taylor Crain. 
The Polar Plunge, an annual event that fundraises for Special Olympic New York, was hosted on March 23 by the Student-Athlete Advisory Council. Volunteers that raised over $25 line up to take the plunge in freezing conditions.
Ithaca College athletes dive into Special Olympics support

The Ithaca College Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) organized a team for the annual Polar Plunge on March 23, an event aimed at raising money and awareness for athletes competing in the Special Olympics. 
The Ithaca College womens soccer team spent seven days in Portugal over spring break. As seen in the photo, they did volunteer work with Global Ambassadors, a program that supports refugees of all ages.

Amid preparations for the upcoming season, the Ithaca College women's soccer team went to Portugal for a week during spring break from March 10–17. They played matches, explored the country and helped out in the community.

Softball stonewalls Golden Flyers in dominant doubleheader victories

Kostrinsky Field saw a historic doubleheader on March 26 as the Ithaca College softball team mercy-ruled the Nazareth University Golden Flyers twice, winning by scores of 8–0 and 12–0 in five innings.
Junior Pitcher Colin Leyner holds the mound down for the Bombers. In seven inning pitched, Leyner struck out seven batters and only allowed five total hits.

Coming off a tough 14–8 loss from the SUNY Oswego Lakers on March 16, the Ithaca College baseball team bounced back in a doubleheader against the Clarkson University Golden Knights on March 26 at Booth Field.

Despite a match full of high energy, the Ithaca College women’s tennis team came up short 3–6 against the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Engineers in the Reis Tennis Center on March 24.

Ithaca College Athletics announced the return of the Blue Crew student rewards program on Jan. 31. This program brings together Ithaca College students, giving them an incentive to attend sporting events in return for points toward special prizes.
