The Ithaca College Republicans have received backlash from the college community regarding its posts on social media about cultural appropriation. This included the IC Republicans response to a tweet from the Center for Inclusion Diversity Equity and Social Change at the college.

IC Republicans receive backlash for post on cultural appropriation

IC Republicans has received backlash from the Ithaca College community for statements it posted to social media regarding cultural appropriation on Halloween.
In a May 3 email to the college community, President La Jerne Cornish announced that Ferro, who has worked at the college since 2017, will become the Chief of Education at College Track, an organization that works to aid students in confronting systemic barriers as they work to complete bachelors degrees. College Track is currently led by former President Shirley M. Collado, who recently left the college Jan. 10, 2022.
