Scroll on any college student’s Facebook feed and you’re reading a neverending resume. Young adults used this “unprecedented” time to succeed.
At the All Student and Family Gathering on March 25, La Jerne Cornish, provost and senior vice president for academic affairs, announced that the college is planning to be fully open for Fall 2021.

Ithaca College is planning for all classes to be in person, for faculty to return to campus and to return to a normal schedule for Fall 2021.
The Class of 2021 Commencement ceremony will occur May 23 for undergraduates and at 4 p.m. May 21 for graduate students. Both ceremonies will take place in the Glazer Arena at the Athletics and Events Center.

Social isolation due to COVID-19 has made it difficult for some freshmen to make friends and has negatively affected their mental health.  
Students at the Ithaca College London Center (ICLC) in May 2019. The ICLC was closed for the 2020–21 academic year due to COVID-19 but plans to reopen in Fall 2021, as well as undergo structural changes.

Training series helps students address COVID-19 concerns

The De-escalating COVID-19 Situations meeting series provided students with verbal and nonverbal ways of handling situations in which peers may not be following the college’s COVID-19 guidelines.
Brett Bossard, executive director of Cinemapolis, said that due to the business’s nonprofit status and dedication to being a living wage employer, he could keep all 12 employees on the payroll while Cinemapolis remained closed.
