Softball player spends gap year off the grid gaining experience

Sophomore softball player Miriam Maistelman left Kostrinsky Field behind this year to canoe, climb and hike through the wilderness out West.
Sophomore Mailli McCormack created a GoFundMe campaign for an outstanding balance. She hopes to foster open dialogue on the price of higher education.

Cornell and Ivy League cancel spring athletic conference competition

Cornell University will not be participating in spring sports competition following the Ivy League’s decision to cancel competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. 
The Contingent Faculty Union urged the college’s administration to be creative in its attempts to save money amid the COVID-19 pandemic and to support contingent faculty members, who are most at risk of being laid off.

The college sent out an alert Feb. 2, notifying the campus community of the changes. The college said they will continue to review the weather forecast and ongoing conditions.
