Sophomore crew member Jake Lentz decided to take the fall semester off to focus on his sport, but this time it is as a coach, not an athlete.
Even though Ithaca College is remote for the semester, approximately 1,400 students, faculty and staff pass through the Athletics and Events Center every week to get tested for COVID-19.

Overall, the college is taking measures to ensure the safety of the campus community. The COVID-19 dashboard is a necessary resource.
The college has administered 5,466 tests and had seven positive cases as of Sept. 22, according to the dashboard. There are two active cases in isolation, and five have recovered and were released from isolation by the Tompkins County Health Department.

Only time will tell if the preparation faculty had over the summer for classes this fall will be worthwhile, but it must be a team effort.
