The top-seeded softball team advanced to the semifinals of the Empire 8 Conference Championship with a 6-2 win against the Alfred University Saxons Friday afternoon on Kostrinsky Field.
Unusual weather circumstances and a slick running surface were not enough to slow the men’s track and field team down as the Blue and Gold fought through the wind and rain to win their sixth consecutive Empire 8 Outdoor Track and Field Championship this past Saturday.
The women’s track and field team is looking to capitalize on its renewed focus toward individual results from the team-oriented regular season in order to bring home another Empire 8 Conference Championship crown this weekend.
Since the beginning of its season back in October, the men’s swimming and diving team looked at winning its second straight Upper New York State Collegiate Swimming Association and Empire 8 Conference title as not only a goal, but an expectation.

By earning the Empire 8 Conference and Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships in its third season as a varsity sport, the women’s golf team turned a corner by taking down opponents it had consistently lost to in the past.
The women’s tennis team won its seventh straight Empire 8 Championship with a 5-4 victory against Stevens Institute of Technology today at the United States Military Academy in West Point, N.Y. By capturing the conference title, the Blue and Gold earned an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III Women’s Tennis Championships in May.
