Committee adds two more Unique Natural Areas

The Unique Natural Area committee of Tompkins County has proposed two new pieces of land to be added to the list of 192 that already cover 15,000 acres across the county.

Ithaca Beer Company back in business

Ithaca Beer Company opened a new taproom Oct. 11 and will soon feature a new kitchen for a new brew-pub atmosphere.
Gossa Tsegaye, assistant professor of television-radio, organized a reenactment of Frederick Douglass speech at the St. James African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in collaboration with The History Center in Tompkins County and Roy H. Park School of Communications. Tsegaye is also producing a film of the re-enactment with the help of Ithaca College students that will communicate the importance of the speech for future generations.
