Q&A: SGA president-elect discusses plans for next year

Master class explores South Asian melodies

For the third installment of the college’s Raga workshop series, A Master Class on Sitar, Denise Nuttall and Stefan Fiol conducted a master class in traditional Hindustani, or North Indian, music and Raga theory.

SGA sees sharp decline in ‘environmental betterment’ bills

An unofficial “sustainability working group” plans to propose four bills to the Student Government Association by the end of the Spring 2016 semester — a sharp decline from its original plan of 18 bills.

Sole SGA executive board ticket presents platform

IC Office announced its platform for the 2016–17 Student Government Association Executive Board at the April 21 SGA platform speech night. Its platform focuses on a re-evaluation of the SGA, including efforts to improve transparency, accessibility, horizontal leadership and shared governance.

The Student Government Association Senate passed four bills at the April 18 meeting, two of which seek to implement “environmental betterment” efforts on campus as part of a larger package of sustainability-related bills.

One ticket announces bid for 2016–17 SGA executive board

The AGB conducted a study in 2010 of 507 colleges and universities that revealed 70.8 percent of public institutions include at least one undergraduate student on their board, compared to only 20.1 percent of private institutions.

Ithaca College's all-female a cappella group Premium Blend took third place at the International Collegiate Championship of A Cappella semifinal, making them eligible to enter a Wild Card round for the chance to compete at the ICCA Finals.

“Dogfight” is MainStage Theatre’s latest production and is directed by Wendy Dann. The musical is based on the 1991 film of the same name and is set in the late 1960s following the Vietnam War.
