Letter to the Editor: Columnist wrong to support Kasich

Once again, it seems as though the patriarchy has another mouthpiece, twisting the words of a victim-shaming, anti-LGBTQ+ candidate into a compassionate optimist.

Ithaca College's 14th annual Rainbow Reception on April 15 celebrated the accomplishments of lesbian, gay, transgender, queer, asexual and allied members of the graduating class and graduate students.

A major source of stereotyping comes from the sexual orientation of bisexuality. Many people believe that bisexuals are merely “confused” or “greedy,” when in reality it is a matter of attraction... Bisexuality, homosexuality, heterosexuality- it’s all a matter of attraction.
Sophomore Luis Torres worked with Do Something to petition for the changing of the dictionary definition of the word nude in Merriam-Webster. After seeing the support, Merriam-Webster altered the definition to be more inclusive for people of color.

An Ithaca College sophomore got Merriam-Webster to change the dictionary definition of the word “nude” to be more inclusive for people of color.
Class of 2018 Senator Angela Pradhan sponsored the bill the SGA passed. The bill called for the implementation of a campus-wide online system to report microaggressions at the college.
