College honors ‘native’ heritage

Ithaca College may not show many traditional elements of American Indian culture, but as the Cayuga Nation flag hangs in the Academic Quad this November during Native American Heritage Month, members of the campus community will be reminded of the country’s indigenous predecessors.

The Office of Public Safety is investigating the disappearance of a portrait of former college president George C. Williams. The portrait, which hung in the lobby of Williams Hall, was reported missing Oct. 14 and is the second painting to be misplaced on campus in four years.
