So, what does this mean for Ithaca College Feminists United? I can’t decide our future, but what I hope for ICFU is that it continues to be critical of feminism and vulnerable.
So, let’s believe survivors. Let’s believe every single one of them. We only have everything to gain.
Systems can only be broken when we call them out. It is when we collectively put pressure on these systems that we can truly give justice to victims.
Thinking in this way begs the question: Why even hire someone in the first place if they’re going to have to take an extended leave of absence?
The battle for justice has been long and it will not end anytime soon. It is not isolated to Brock Turner or Steubenville.
