Senior Andrew Brown has grown accustomed to being the only pole vault member for the men’s track and field team.
The men’s track team was on the road this weekend at Moravian College’s Coach P Open. The Bombers had 12 top-five finishes in the meet and also added another five Eastern College Athletic Conference Championship qualifying finishes.
After last week’s Ithaca Invitational, the men’s track team went on the road to compete at Army’s Dick Shea Invitational. Ithaca won three events at the meet: the 400-meter relay, the long jump and the 400-meter run.
The men’s track and field team recently won its first Eastern College Athletic Conference championship, but because of a hamstring injury, the team was without one of its top long jumpers, junior Kyle Devins.
With its first outdoor meet of the season at home, the men’s track team hoped to start off on the right foot.
